The site runs on DIY Hosting (canada). D.I.Y. Web Hosting was realized in June of 2003 by Ryan Smith, editor and administrator of the popular Threeohsix.org web community and online music magazine. Being closely knit to the independent music scene in Canada, web hosting became a natural fit for Ryan who formed D.I.Y. Web Hosting to provide affordable, fully managed web hosting solutions to the many talented artists and musicians in Canada.

The site itself is put together using Wordpress 2.7.X, the simply wicked and wonderful blog software and CMS.

I use the following Wordpress plug ins:

  • Feed List 2.02B
Displays any ATOM or RSS feed in your blog. By Bill Rawlinson.
  • Peter’s Custom Anti-Spam 3.3.1
Stop a lot of spambots from polluting your site by making visitors identify a random word displayed as an image before commenting. You can customize the pool of words to display. This was originally based on Anti-Spam Image by Krazy Nio. Core of the Version 2.0 rewrite by Will Murray. By Peter Keung.
  • Google XML Sitemaps 3.1.6
generates sitemaps that increase your searchability on Ask.com, Google, and Yahoo.
  • Akismet      2.2.3
Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under Comments. To show off your Akismet stats just put <?php akismet_counter(); ?> in your template.
  • Get Recent Comments     2.0.2
Display the most recent comments or trackbacks with your own formatting in the sidebar. Visit Options/Recent Comments after activation of the plugin. By Krischan Jodies.
  • Related Posts     2.02
Returns a list of the related entries based on active/passive keyword matches. By Alexander Malov & Mike Lu.
  • Subscribe To Comments     2.1.2
Allows readers to receive notifications of new comments that are posted to an entry. Based on version 1 from Scriptygoddess By Mark Jaquith.

I may get this to work some point in the future:

  • Gravatars 2.6
This plugin provides an administrative interface to control default gravatar options. Registered users can also (optionally) define local gravatar images that will override their gravatar.com default. Copyright 2005 Scott Merrill; Licensed under the terms of the GPL. By Scott Merrill.
